Dutch brand Scotch & Soda opens concept boutique in the French Riviera

Known for its unique style and environmentally sustainable practices, Scotch & Soda inaugurates its new concept boutique at CAP3000.

Scotch & Soda's new "Free Spirit" concept boutique is inspired by the liberal spirit of Amsterdam. Located in the new premium "CORSO" wing of CAP3000, it is the brand's 25th shop in France with 131 m2, emphasising transparency and modernity, remaining faithful to the spirit of the brand. A lot went into the design and decor, featuring a glass façade with black steel profiles and Moroccan Zellige tiles, wooden panelling, custom-made racks and display cabinets in aged brass, a palette of colours ranging from cloudy white to charcoal grey, with touches of pinkish beige, all enhanced by sunny yellow, pink and burgundy accents.

Scotch & Soda favours ethical materials: on the floor, herringbone parquet made of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council, an environmental label) certified wood and eco-responsible rugs woven in ECONYL®. Other eco-responsible elements include hangers made of recycled materials, as well as energy-efficient LED lighting.


Respect for the environment is at the heart of the creation of Scotch & Soda collections. For the Summer 2021 season, 41% of the pieces in the collections meet the standards that the brand has set itself, with the use of ecological materials according to which each article must contain at least 20% of eco-responsible materials. Their goal is to continue this trend and have 70% of its designs meet these standards by the beginning of 2024.

Starting with the Summer 2022 collection, Scotch & Soda will increase the standard for the use of eco-friendly materials: each piece must contain at least 50% of these materials: certified organic, recycled, reclaimed or renewable fibres from organic or synthetic sources, including organic cotton, recycled polyester and ECONYL®. In the case of recycled cotton, it can exist as a blend as the fibres are shorter and need to be blended with another fibre for durability.

Unique style

Through its 4 collections per year (spring, summer, autumn, winter), Scotch & Soda creates looks for every day of the week and for every occasion. The creative vision of the brand is reflected in the collections, where the expected and the unexpected merge to create a unique product that allows each person to express their own personality. This is then taken all the way to the dressing room, which they believe should encourage authenticity, uniqueness and optimism. The new Scotch & Soda logo will appear on the collections from November as part of the Spring 2022 collection.

All Scotch & Soda collections include pieces from the premium denim range, Amsterdams Blauw, which shares the same desire to revisit everyday staples with unexpected shades, prints and fabrics, and the use of organic cotton and raw denim season after season. Launched in 2018, the Scotch & Soda shoe line also follows the seasons. New women's and men's collections are released every summer and winter. Crafted from high quality materials, the shoes come in unique hues and are adorned with artisanal touches and details.

Sunnies: With the launch of the first collection in March 2020, the Scotch & Soda sunglasses range is unveiled twice a year for summer and winter, the range includes collections for men and women.

Fragrance: It all started with BARFLY, the signature fragrance, an eau de toilette created in 2012 with soulful base notes and a nose of amber, vanilla and musk. LOVE, created in 2019, gives pride of place to bergamot and lemon, with scents of sandalwood, lotus and rose. An intense and elegant eau de parfum, available as a unisex eau de toilette. The latest addition, in 2020, ISLAND WATER celebrates adventure and freedom and evokes the lush flora of Tahiti: sweet jasmine and coconut, patchouli and blackcurrant.
