Malongo coffee joins the Côte d'Azur brand and opens in Gare du Sud

Local coffee company specialising in organic beans joins the CRT brand of quality products made here in the Côte da'Azur.

Malongo, leader in organic and fair trade coffee has teamed up with the CRT Côte d'Azur France, manager of the Côte d'Azur France territorial brand to unveil a brand new organic and fair trade coffee with Mediterranean floral notes and citrus flavours. The new joint venture was enveiled at the inauguration of the new Malongo Barista atelier in the Gare du Sud marketplace in Nice on Thursday 22 July.

To welcome and celebrate the new Côte d'Azur France collection, David Lisnard, President of the Comité Régional du Tourisme (CRT) Côte d'Azur France and Jean-Pierre Blanc, Managing Director of Malongo, unveiled the brand new Côte d'Azur France signature coffee made with Mediterranean floral notes and citrus flavours in front of the local press and the brand's partners and licensees. The presentation was followed by a barista workshop and a tasting of Côte d'Azur France products.

Creating a distinctive local blend

Between nature and tradition, the Côte d'Azur delights and awakens the senses, just like Malongo coffees, roasted right here on the Côte d'Azur. This special edition blend of pure Arabica organic and fair trade coffee pays tribute to the flavours of the bigaradiers, also known as Seville orange trees, emblematic of the Côte d'Azur.

The Carros-based coffee company has developed a tailor-made blend of several origins from fair trade and organic farming, two commitments anchored in the brand's DNA. It promises lovers of fine coffee an ethical and gourmet tasting experience thanks to this acidulous coffee with bright citrus and floral notes, evoking the aromas of the famous Côte d'Azur bigaradiers. The collectable metal can, which can be recycled endlessly, protects the delicate flavours of this round, full-bodied coffee, enhanced by a long finish.

In terms of style, the blue can, which recalls the blue of the Mediterranean Sea or the high altitude lakes of the Mercantour, is adorned with an elegant and luminous illustration created by Nice artist Eric Garence, who is also the official illustrator of the Côte d'Azur France brand. The box proudly displays a bright, colourful and authentic landscape of the Côte d'Azur.
