Each year, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) evolves, progresses, and wows with innovations in technology, luxury and fun play toys. The 2021 edition is no exception, changing the organisation to be much more focused on the superyacht buyer experience. In addition, the show will focus on sustainability and environmental consciousness in their new innovation hub.

Over 300 exhibitors will be participating, including nearly 60 superyachts that will be exhibited, 40 of which are brand-new launches by some of the most famous shipyards. - not to mention regulars here at the MYS - including Benetti, Feadship, Lürssen, Oceanco, etc.

This year, visitors will be treated to two new exhibitions:

The first is dedicated to sailing boats, held on Quai l'Hirondelle where several crafts will be moored opposite the stands representing their respective shipyards, designers and specialist equipment manufacturers.

In addition to the show’s historic Designer Gallery, the MYS will feature a Yacht Design & Innovation Hub: a new space for the presentation of yacht design projects where visitors can also interact directly with designers.

The biggest change this year is staggering the entrance to give a dedicated day to owners and builders. The new Dockside Area will therefore be dedicated to companies directly linked with the construction or management of superyachts and tenders, and only open to end customers (in possession of a "Discover", "Advise" and "Sapphire Experience" badges) on Wednesday 22 September, before being opened up to all visitors starting Thursday.

Opening with the MYS Summit, this gathering exclusively for yacht owners looks at business trends, market data, chartering, and the practical steps involved in commissioning and building a new yacht from a client perspective. Panelists will include business analysts, brokers, designers, and CEOs to provide shipyard, naval architecture, project management, and legal expertise.

Speakers include:

  • Jonathan Beckett, CEO, Burgess (broker)

  • Michael Breman, Sales Director, Lürssen (shipyard)

  • Rose Damen, Managing Director, Damen/Amels (shipyard)

  • Tim Schommer, Partner/Lawyer, Clyde & Co (expert lawyers in yachting)

  • Derek Munro, owners’ representative, Divergent Yachting (yacht management)

  • Daniele Moltedo, Custom Head of Manufacturing & Warranty Department Manager, Benetti (shipyard)

  • Richie Blake, MD, Dhöle Yachts

The ‘old favourites’ are of course still available, like the luxury interiors exhibitors (Parvis Piscine tent),, the Tender & Toys area (Quai Antoine Ier), the rarest luxury cars at the Car Deck (Quai Antoine Ier), and the latest tech releases at the innovation hub (Darse Sud and Quai Albert Ier).
