Nicolle Martin reelected President of Skål International Côte d’Azur

After her immensely successful term as president, members of the local tourism professionals group reelected their vibrant leader for another two-year term.

The newly elected team at Skål International Côte d’Azur

Skål International is an international organisation that brings together executives from across the travel industry. Its aim is to promote friendship through tourism by regularly inviting tourism professionals from hotels, restaurants, tour companies and more to regular luncheons and events. The first club was founded in Paris in 1932 following a familiarisation trip to Scandinavia and has since grown to an organisation present around the world.

The Côte d’Azur chapter was founded in 1933 but remained little-known until the arrival of its current president, Nicolle Martin in 2018. Through her friendly and generous personality, this vivacious and radiant redhead brought the Skål club from nine members to 125 in only two years! As the fastest growing club in the organisation, it’s no wonder the organisation granted the local chapter a platinum award for membership growth. But the Côte d’Azur chapter didn’t just grow in numbers; it also grew in friendship, connection and support. It is, therefore,

little surprise that members re-elected Nicolle to another term as president this past March.

Other officers were elected to new posts on the board, including Michel Bouthiba of Société Ecoute Conseil Service again as Vice President; Nathalie Zafra of CSP France, as secretary; Liliane Cassini, for the position of treasurer; Véronique Gauriat, in charge of photo reports and the website; Simon Malard, in charge of CRM; Bertrand Petyt of Vitruvius Partners Group, for the position of deputy treasurer (Former treasurer of Skål International in Monaco) and Sabrina Pellegrino of Heaven Travel agency, for the position of deputy secretary.

Now with a new website, a newly remodelled office and a new section of ambassadors, Nicolle is anxious to help the local tourism industry get back on its feet.

In a statement, the president said: "Skål Côte d'Azur is truly a magnificent association and I invite all tourism professionals in the Alpes-Maritimes to join us in this beautiful adventure to create bonds of friendship and ensure the promotion of their company on a regional and international level. A big thank you to all the Skalleagues who have renewed their support, their confidence and their friendship. Together we will go even further!"
