The Cannes Fireworks festival is back!

The annual international fireworks competition, the Festival d’Art Pyrotechnique is back this year to wow beachside onlookers.

From July 14th to August 24th, the 40th edition of the Festival d'Art Pyrotechnique will be held in the bay of Cannes. Cancelled last year because of the pandemic, the famous festival returns this year to light up the sky of Cannes and the hearts of visitors on July 14, 21 and 29, then the second part on August 7, 15 and 24. New for this 40th edition, a live broadcast is planned!

Kicking off the festival on France's Independence Day on 14 July, the best in French fireworks will be displayed around the theme of cinema (it takes place during the Cannes Film Festival) and each performance will be accompanied by film music. For the complete programme, visit:

The Pyromelodic Festival

While you're at it, don't miss the Pyromelodic Festival in Antibes and Juan-les-Pins! This exceptional event offers to the public a show with sounds and lights. Shortly after 10 pm, the fireworks burst forth to the delight of thousands of spectators comfortably situated on the beaches and terraces of the Riviera. The wonder is all around, especially since the visual show is complemented by a musical accompaniment.

Tentative dates:

August 15 and 22 at 10:15 pm: Bay of Juan-les-Pins - Mediterranean Music.

August 24th at 10pm: Route du bord de mer (between the Fort Carré and the Brague)

Unfortunately, the fireworks festival has been cancelled for the second consecutive year.
